Filament printing for practical parts.
Turn your model into a prototype, enclosure or one-off part. Choose PLA, PETG or ABS and get a provisional estimate before sending your file for review.
Choose the material for the job
PLA suits display pieces and everyday prototypes. PETG is an option for practical parts and enclosures. ABS may suit projects with specific durability or heat requirements. Tell us how the part will be used so we can discuss the choice; a material name alone does not guarantee performance.
What does filament printing cost?
Orders have a £5 minimum, including a £2 setup fee per order. Estimated printing time is £0.50 per hour. Material rates are PLA £12/kg, PETG £15/kg and ABS £16.50/kg. The estimator includes a material allowance; supports, delivery and any applicable tax need review.
Layer height and finish
Choose Draft at 0.28 mm, Standard at 0.20 mm or Fine at 0.12 mm in the estimator. Printed layer lines remain visible. Smaller layers can improve detail but increase print time; they do not remove the need to check orientation and fit.
Getting a usable part
Include critical measurements and explain which surfaces or holes must fit another component. Strength depends on orientation, geometry and print settings as well as material. Discuss a sample first for a production batch or a part where fit matters.
Have a model ready?
Upload a closed STL or OBJ in millimetres, up to 25 MB, for an estimate. Email STEP or 3MF files for manual review. Attach your model when sending your enquiry.
